12 men drugged and raped a woman at a police party in Sao Paulo

The 33-year-old woman, whose identity has not been made public, has accused 12 men, 11 of whom are police officers, of sexually assaulting her after drugging her with a substance that left her unresponsive during an officer’s party in tourist hotel. the city of Guaruja, on the southern coast of the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo. The São Paulo Secretariat of Public Security, SSP-SP, initiated an internal process to investigate the complaint, of which no details were given, as is always the case when the suspects are security forces agents.

According to the victim, she and her friend accepted an acquaintance’s invitation and went to a private party organized by military police agents, who for this purpose rented a house on Praia de Pernambuco, one of the most famous in Guaruja. At some point during the party, where there were almost only men, she went into one of the rooms to engage in consensual sexual relations with an acquaintance, and that is where, according to her, the collective rape began.

In the Internal Affairs Directorate (the internal body that investigates crimes committed by police officers), she said that as soon as she entered the room with her friend, she began to feel strange, partially saw and heard what was happening around her, but was unable to react, and she believes that they slipped some kind of drug into her drink to at least keep her awake, but did not prevent her from sexually assaulting her. In the complaint, the woman described in detail that she managed to notice that 12 men entered the room and lined up, and they began to rape her one after another, without stopping, and those who were still waiting complained about the delay, the rest: “come on, hurry up, now my turn”.

The victim woke up only the next day, still lying in bed, discovered that there was no one else in the house, and called a friend with whom she had gone to a party, asking for help. A friend confirmed that several men had sexual relations with her and even mocked her, believing that her friend agreed to have sex with everyone and that she did not realize that she was so hot-tempered, being shocked to learn that, in fact, she witnessed an absurd series of crimes committed by law enforcement officers.

The only man at the party who was not a member of the military police confirmed in a statement that the victim was raped multiple times, and added that the only reason there were no more rapes was because he at a certain point plucked up the courage to enter the room full of police officers, noticed the seriousness of what they were doing and managed to stop them. But the woman told Internal Affairs that it wasn’t exactly like that, she admits the man did go into the room and managed to get the police out, but blames him for it before leaving and leaving her abandoned at the property, also abusing her .
