A man was stabbed in the stomach and neck early this Sunday in the municipality of Ribeira Brava in Madeira after the end of a religious holiday.
The 36-year-old victim was first attacked in the stomach and when he asked for help from his father, who was working at one of the food stalls at the party, he was stabbed again in the neck.
The man and the attacker were classmates in elementary school, but the source of the disrespect may be land-related differences. EMIR was at the scene, but it was not possible to save the young man’s life.
The court was called to intervene, adding that the investigation was within its jurisdiction as it was a case of suspected murder.
According to a source from the combined fire departments of Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol, the attack happened at about 2:20 a.m. near a parish in Campanario parish, western Madeira.
