This Sunday, Russia accused Ukraine of killing at least 28 civilians, including women and children, in an attack on the occupied city of Lisichansk on Saturday.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, several Western-supplied Himars missiles hit a bakery and restaurant in the city center, causing a large number of casualties. In addition to the 28 deaths confirmed so far this Sunday, ten more people were injured, four of them seriously.
The Ukrainian government has not commented on the attack, and Russia has accused the EU of “using European taxpayers’ money to buy weapons that the Kiev regime is using to kill civilians.”
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky this Sunday visited the front line in the Robotino region to thank the contributions of soldiers who help defend Ukraine, without commenting on the reported removal of the commander of the Ukrainian armed forces, Valery Zaluzhny.
