The complaint identifies suspicious cases that occurred between 2020 and 2022 in another unit of the Lisbon PSP Command, similar to the CP/Metro unit. Given the low salaries of police officers, bonuses are a welcome addition.
Now the investigation is finding out whether the repeated allocation of bonuses to one or another police officer is the result of favoritism on the part of the hierarchy. It may also involve the crime of falsifying documents and falsifying duty schedules, thereby allowing agents to receive payment for work not performed.
