The “dry” victory of the Nizhny Novgorod “Start” over the Novosibirsk “Sibselmash” ended the match in the 19th round of the 31st championship of Russia in the Men’s Bandy Super League of the 2022/2023 season. The match took place on January 25 at the Trud Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod.
Nizhny Novgorod quickly opened the scoring – in the 3rd minute, Alexey Kiselev, thanks to the efforts of his teammates, overcame the goalkeeper of the guests Denis Rysev in close combat. In the 20th minute, Pavel Ryazantsev was able to equalize the score, but the “Start” goalkeeper Yuri Ivanchikov parried the shot of the “Sibselmash” captain from the penalty spot.
Before the break, the hosts scored twice, and in the 55th minute, Kiselev scored a brace with a shot into empty goal: 4:0. There were enough chances to avoid a dry defeat for the guests in both the first and second halves, but Novosibirsk couldn’t bring their chances to their logical end.
