She witnessed war, was a victim of rape, and today wants to support other women who have suffered sexual violence. Wasfie Krasniqi Goodman was at the site of the Supernova festival in Israel, where Hamas invaded on October 7.
25 years ago, during the Kosovo War, Vasfie Krasniqi Goodman was sexually assaulted by two soldiers. She considers herself a survivor who did not see justice in her story, but wants to prevent the same thing from happening to other people.
“25 years have passed. We have no justice, we have no apology. They don’t even acknowledge these crimes,” Vasfiye Krasniqi Goodman told Reuters.
Israeli authorities say 364 people were killed and some were sexually assaulted in the music festival massacre. Vasfie Krasniqi Goodman wants to help these survivors.
“There is no justice in my story. I want other survivors to get justice because that’s when we begin to heal. I wish I had the opportunity or opportunity when there was a war in Kosovo for a survivor to come and talk to me because no one understands us better than a survivor,” he explained.
