An 18-year-old transgender girl was stabbed 14 times at a party by a group after being the target of transphobic abuse in Harrow, London, on Saturday night, according to a report. Daily mail.
Following a report of a violent incident, police arrived at the scene at around 7 p.m., but when patrol arrived, the young woman had already been wounded. She was later rushed to hospital.
In court, 19-year-old Summer Betts-Ramsey was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon in public. The young woman cried in the dock at Willesden Court as she was charged, according to the newspaper.
According to Daily mailwill be detained until March 12, when a new hearing will take place.
Nicola Hannant, the investigating officer, said “this was a brutal and shocking attack” and said she would continue to support the victim and her family.
It also emerged that while they have already detained four people since the attack, they are continuing to appeal to people who may have been in the area to speak to officers for more information.
