Lara Tovmasyan, a Russian activist living in Portugal, believes Navalny’s death will have no consequences for Putin’s reputation.
The activist believes that the case will not attract much attention in Russia, despite the fact that some protests have already taken place.
“Some activists take to the streets, but they are detained by the police. They carry signs that say “Who’s Next?” or “Vladimir, you have Navalny’s blood on your hands,” he declares.
Lara said she was not surprised by the death of the Kremlin opponent. “It was expected, but not in such an obvious way,” he adds.
“Activists blame Putin for this, people are outraged,” he says.
The wave of protests has spread to Portugal, where a demonstration against the death of a Russian activist will take place this Friday at 18:00 in front of the Russian Embassy in Lisbon. Another protest is planned for Saturday.
