The boy was breastfed by his mother, who eventually fell asleep and suffocated the child with the weight of her own body. The child’s father told Peace that the woman survived a 17-hour labor and that, two days after the baby was born, she finally gave up from exhaustion.

“My partner couldn’t get up, but they made her take care of the baby,” the man said.

The mother of the child claims that she was awakened in the middle of the night in the maternity ward by a nurse and her son was not in bed at that time. The 30-year-old woman was taken to another room where she was told that her son had died. “I don’t remember if a psychologist was present or if I was given more detailed explanations. Everything collapsed on me, ”the woman explained.

According to an Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera, the child was born on the night of January 7-8 and weighed more than three kilograms. In the following nights, the mother, who was very tired, asked the nurses to take the child to the nursery so that he could get some rest. “I turned to the nurses for help. However, they always told me that it was impossible to take him,” he said.
