Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will not accept the handover of Kosovo, RIAC program coordinator Milan Lazović said during a round table on the topic “Russian-Serbian relations in the context of the Ukrainian crisis and the current geopolitical situation in the Balkans,” reports Krasnaya Vesna News Agency on February 17.
“It does not seem to me that Vucic is the person who will agree to hand over Kosovo and really recognize the independence of this supposed republic, even if it is in some camouflaged way.”“Lazovic said, adding that Vucic’s position on this issue is one of principle.
At the same time, the expert noted that it is unknown how long Vucic will be able to remain in power in that position.
Lazović also highlighted the successful campaign to revoke the recognition of Kosovo, carried out by the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that the course of Serbia’s foreign policy will remain the same without major changes in the government.
