Plant about two billion trees in Tajikistan, expand forest areas and turn the republic into “green country”, said the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, at a government meeting. This was reported by the press service of the Head of State on February 17.
It should be noted that Rahmon instructed the responsible officials of the country’s government, the Environmental Protection Committee and the Forestry Agency to organize the tree planting.
The press service reported that plans for the improvement of the territory of Tajikistan are planned until 2037.
Recall that Rahmon previously noted that Tajikistan is ready and will make every possible contribution to the preservation of the planet. For this purpose, several special programs have been developed and are operating in the republic. State plans include the transition of the economy to “green” technologies until 2040, which will reduce the negative impact on the environment.
