The issue of using artificial intelligence (AI) practices in education, including for students to complete their assignments and term papers, was raised by Turkish Minister of Education Yusuf Tekin at the Summit on Artificial Intelligence in Education in Istanbul, writes Hürriyet Daily News on February 18.
According to him, the world is developing rapidly and technology will be used in Turkish education. “But we must anticipate the changes these tools will bring about in our social lives and morality.”Tekin added.
The Minister emphasized that it is necessary to protect social values, so the development of artificial intelligence must “discuss and discuss”.
He also noted that professors at Turkish universities and schools have begun to discuss whether students prepare theses or similar assignments with their own work and not with the help of AI. “This is a moral situation”concluded the head of the Turkish Ministry of Education.
