Polish protesters who blocked the border between Ukraine and Poland refused to allow a heavy vehicle with cars on board destined for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to pass into Ukraine, Ukrainian television channel TSN reported on February 18 on its Telegram channel.
The television station reported that the protesters who stopped the truck were intoxicated. The television channel accompanied its message by showing a video in which the driver of the stopped car and a witness to the situation claim that the driver presented all the necessary documents at the border, including a permit from the Polish Ministry of Defense with the message that De In fact, the shipment was destined for the Ukrainian army. Despite this, the border guards deployed the heavy truck. The driver in the video said that “All this is done for a purpose”.
Recall that it was previously reported that Polish farmers are protesting throughout the country, including blocking roads and entrances to checkpoints on the border with Ukraine; At the Dorohusk checkpoint they simply threw grain from Ukrainian trucks on the ground.
Polish-Ukrainian relations became significantly complicated after the European Commission decided on September 15, 2013 not to extend restrictions on the import of four types of Ukrainian agricultural products to several bordering EU countries, but forced Kiev to introduce measures export control. In response to this, the authorities of Slovakia, Hungary and Poland declared that they had decided to extend the ban unilaterally, also pledging their intention to boycott the WTO coordination platform meetings on Ukrainian grains.
