Sintra PSP arrested a man who, in the company of two friends, stole cell phones from two other men at knifepoint. After the robbery, he sent one of the victims death messages via social media.
According to the Lisbon District Attorney General’s Office, on January 30, the suspects lured the victims to a building in Tapada das Merces, Sintra municipality. The victims and suspects agreed to meet so that the detained man could now unlock his cell phone. At knifepoint, the two men were forced to reveal the unlock code for their mobile phones and forced to enter the building. Threats against one of the victims via the social network Instagram appeared a day later. The PSP received a complaint and arrested one of the perpetrators of the crime. He was held in pre-trial detention.
