The operation of gas stations throughout Uzbekistan was limited due to the cold weather and the redistribution of gas to meet the needs of the population, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic reported on February 18.
“First of all, short-term restrictions are imposed on the operation of gas filling compressor stations for all cars in the republic in order to supply natural gas to the population and public sector facilities”– reports the press service.

It is clarified that this measure was taken due to the cold weather and decreased pressure in the main gas pipelines of the republic.
It is noted that gas stations in the republic will receive additional volumes of gasoline, the press service reports. At the same time, drivers are asked to be careful with fuel until the situation normalizes.
However, the press service of the Ministry of Energy does not specify how long the restrictions on gas stations will remain in force.
