It is clear that the dust storm started due to strong winds. Strong winds are also reported in the south of the region, but there is rain and snow.
At the same time, some Uzbek media reported that a dust storm was also observed in the desert areas of the Bukhara region of the republic. Dust storms are reported to drastically reduce road visibility.
Recall that previously Uzhydromet reported that from February 16 to 18 in some areas of Uzbekistan the wind speed could be 17 to 22 meters per second with gusts of up to 25 to 28 meters per second.
