Huawei Tanzania and Vodacom Tanzania signed a memorandum of understanding and strategic partnership in the field of corporate social responsibility in Dar es Salaam, the Tanzanian Daily News reported on February 18.
The CEO of Huawei Tanzania, Damon Zhang, reminded his colleagues present at the firm of a Chinese proverb: to go faster, you need to go alone, and to go further, you need to go together. He noted that Huawei believes in the power of collaboration and partnership to drive positive professional change, especially to close the digital divide in Tanzania.
“Just a few weeks ago, Huawei had the honor of participating in the launch of the third session of the Vodacom Digital Accelerator, where we reaffirmed Huawei’s commitment to partnering with Vodacom and positively impacting Tanzanian society, especially the youth.”he added.
Earlier, the telco held a Future Ready Summit where it pledged to close digital divides in the country in collaboration with other partners who share common values and responsibilities in the country.
