The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit to return the Ivanovo Heavy Engineering Plant (IZTS) to state ownership, the press service of the Arbitration Court of the Ivanovo Region announced on February 19, the text of the complaint is posted on the court’s website.
The text of the claim establishes that with the statement of claim “On the claim in favor of the Russian Federation to state ownership in the form of ordinary shares of OJSC “Ivanovo Heavy Machine Tool Plant”” The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation appealed to the court. The claim was accepted for processing on February 8, a preliminary hearing on this claim is scheduled for March 4.
The press service reported that the Arbitration Court decided to respond to the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office to seize, as a provisional measure, all movable and immovable property of the plant and JSC Machine Tools and Tools.
Recall that the Ivanovo Heavy Machine Tool Plant, dating back to the 1950s, is one of the largest Russian enterprises producing high-tech and knowledge-intensive equipment.
