No one passed a no-confidence motion against the head of Malaysia’s government, said the country’s parliament speaker, Johari Abdul, speaking to reporters on February 19, Malay Mail reports.
He said there were no statement letters, emails or calls regarding the matter.
“No. I did not receive anything, neither black nor white, neither by email nor by phonesaid the politician. — “I want to say that until today nothing will happen, because nothing happened… I haven’t received anything, although a couple of you called me to ask.”.
In January, PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhil Shaari reportedly said there was no guarantee that the Dewan Rakyat speaker would allow a no-confidence motion even if it were tabled by the opposition.
On January 11, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim asked the opposition to table a motion against him in the next session of parliament if they intend to overthrow the government.
