In Prague, a confrontation took place between farmers who had demonstrated against the agricultural policy of the authorities and those who opposed this protest action, according to the police press service on February 19.
The fight took place on Malostranskaya Square, in front of the Palace of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament. As a representative of the press service told reporters, it happened “between two groups expressing different points of view”.
It is stated that the group of opponents of the action was made up of 10 people. They came with the flags of the European Union and Ukraine.
The police had to separate the opponents. There were no victims. A group of farmers who did not agree with the action left Malostransskaya Square.
It should be noted that several hundred people attended the protest. They protested against the “green policy” of the European Union, as well as against the agricultural policy of the Czech authorities. The demonstration demanded the resignation of the government.
