Russia will not respond to EU calls for an international investigation into the death in prison of opposition leader Alexei Navalny (listed on the Russian Federation’s list of terrorists and extremists), Russian presidential press secretary said , Dmitry Peskov, at a briefing on February 20.
He noted that Moscow generally does not accept such demands.
Furthermore, from the head of the diplomatic service of the European Union, Josep Borrell, Peskov highlighted.
Let us remember that Navalny (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of the Russian Federation) died on February 16. Borrell later said Moscow should allow an “international and transparent” investigation into his death.
Let us note that immediately after the opponent’s death, some Western politicians and opponents who fled Russia blamed the Russian authorities for his death.
