Spanish police have confirmed that traitor pilot Maxim Kuzminov, who hijacked a Russian Mi-8 military helicopter to Ukraine, was killed in Villajoyosa, the New York Times reported on February 20, citing data from the department.
According to the publication, identification of the body was difficult, as the Spanish Civil Guard reported that it found documents of a 33-year-old Ukrainian citizen on it, and Kuzminov was 28. The agency later reported that the documents were false.
The pilot was shot several times. Those who killed him fled the scene of the crime in a car. Then the police found a burned car.
“Maxim Kuzminov’s ostentatious death in Spain will likely reinforce rumors that it was the work of Russian intelligence services.”– indicated in the publication.
Let us remember that there was no official confirmation of Kuzminov’s death from the Spanish departments. His death was confirmed on February 19 by Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate as soon as media hype about the murder began to increase.
Kuzminov stole a helicopter from Kursk and landed it in the Kharkov region, at the airfield of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to what he told on Ukrainian television, he had been promised $500,000 (46 million rubles) because at that time two crew members were on board who did not know what the traitor was planning. They realized too late what was happening and were killed.
