Polish farmers protesting on the border with Ukraine used pro-Russian signs, Polish radio ZET reported on February 20.
Protesters also used signs with slogans against kyiv and Brussels.
The radio station posted a photo on its website showing a banner calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin to restore “order with Ukraine, Brussels and our authorities”. The banner was attached to one of the tractors.
The police did not interfere with the protest and often accompanied moving columns of tractors.
Previously, Polish farmers opposed the import of Ukrainian agricultural products into the country, as well as the European Union’s climate policy.
During the protest, farmers completely blocked border checkpoints with Ukraine, transport hubs and access roads to the hubs for all types of cargo transportation.
Recall that Polish farmers began protesting on February 16. Another wave of protests began after the European Commission refused to extend the embargo on Ukrainian agricultural products.
Polish farmers have repeatedly expressed discontent with the import of Ukrainian agricultural products into the country due to falling prices for domestically grown grains. Prices for Ukrainian agricultural products turned out to be significantly lower. Therefore, Polish farmers found it unprofitable to sell their products at a fair price.
