The bill on the creation of a single digital resource with data from dictionaries of the Russian language received the support of the Scientific Committee of the State Duma, the press service of the State Duma of the Russian Federation reported on February 21.
“The draft federal law provides for the creation of a unique digital resource that integrates data from Russian language dictionaries created over the last three centuries”says the explanatory note of the bill.
According to the press service, the goal of creating the National Dictionaries Fund is to provide citizens with free access to information on the norms of the modern Russian literary language through the Internet information and telecommunications network.
The federal law will take effect on January 1, 2025.
It should be noted that, according to the financial and economic feasibility study, budget funds in the amount of approximately 182.3 million rubles will be needed to create the project.
