Spain’s Justice Ministry wants a Portuguese hitman to be sentenced to 27 years in prison for killing a man with a gun in July 2019. The shooter’s trial will begin on March 4 in a Cordoba court after he was arrested in a joint operation between the Guardia Civil and Portuguese police.
According to the indictment, the Portuguese was hired for an unspecified amount. The victim, 40 years old, was driving a car with a friend. The Portuguese killer crossed his car in front of the victim and, taking advantage of the late hour and isolation of the place, fired several shots at the man until he was sure that he was dead. The 40-year-old man’s friend took him to hospital, but he died. In addition to murder, the Portuguese may be convicted of illegal possession of weapons.
