The personal assistant to Mozambique’s deputy justice minister has been arrested in India on suspicion of drug trafficking, government official Filiman Suaze said.
“We confirm that the information is true. A citizen has been detained in India on suspicion of transporting a product believed to be some kind of drug,” Filiman Suaze, Mozambique’s deputy minister of justice, constitutional and religious affairs, said this Wednesday. on private television STV.
The arrest occurred on January 8, after an employee was allegedly found with drugs in this Asian country, which has not yet been specified.
Mozambique’s deputy minister said he had no further details about his employee’s detention, saying she was awaiting trial in India.
“There is no further development, we are also waiting to find out when she will be tried, what the final verdict will be and whether it will go from suspicion to conviction, or whether there has been some kind of confusion,” concluded Filiman Suaze.
