A 23-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for using physical and psychological violence against his father and grandmother in Santo Tirso.
PNP representatives responded to a report of domestic violence and determined that “the victims, an 81-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man, respectively the grandmother and father of the aggressor, were subjected to physical violence and threats with a firearm.”
Authorities explain that the relationship between the young man and his father and grandmother was marked by conflict and that the episodes of violence became more severe over time.
During searches of the suspect’s house, it turned out that the young man was also involved in the drug trafficking business.
During the investigation, the following materials were seized: a hidden knife; starting gun, one ammunition; 3614 doses of cannabis (resin); 444 doses of cannabis (juices); 260 doses of MDM; 80 doses of cocaine; three precision scales; various materials related to drug trafficking and €5,295 in cash.
The detainee, who was present at the first judicial interrogation, was placed in preventive detention. He faces charges of domestic violence, aggravated menacing and drug trafficking.
