Producer, screenwriter and director Martin Scorsese received an honorary Golden Bear at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, the Berliner Telegraph reports on February 22.
The film maestro told reporters that in the future he plans to make an entertaining film about the life of Jesus Christ. According to him, now he does not understand what his new creation will be like.
During the award ceremony, his old friend, the German director Wim Vermeers, called Scorsese “a man of the time who gave the public half a century of extraordinary journey in the world of cinema”. Not forgotten was the work of the Scorsese Film Foundation, which he founded in 2007 and during which he managed to restore more than 1,000 films. P
Upon receiving the award, in his speech, the director reflected on his future plans and expressed the hope of being able to come to the next award in a couple of years.
