Bazrpash said that thanks to “The government’s investments in the development of large and small ports, the processing capacity of Iran’s ports is about 300 million tons”. Among the main ports, the Shahid Rajai container port in the city of Bandar Abbas stood out, which increased its throughput by 20% in a year and a half.
According to the official, construction of grain storage facilities with a capacity of one million tons will soon begin. An order has also been placed for the construction of 40 sea vessels worth more than $120 million.
“All maritime trade indicators show significant growth,” the official concluded.
