Polish farmers again raised slogans in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, Wieslaw Green of the Polish farmers’ association Oszukana Wieś (“Deceived People”) said on February 24 in a comment to RMF FM.
This time they were hanged during a meeting between the Minister of Agriculture, Czesław Sekierski, and a protester in Zosin (Lublin Voivodeship). According to him, the content of the posters was similar to that published in Gorzyce (Silesian Voivodeship): “Putin, order Ukraine, Brussels and our authorities”.
Let us remember that in Gorzyce one of the protesting farmers hung a corresponding sign and a red flag with the hammer and sickle on his tractor. He was arrested by police later.
Detainee Peter G. was charged with three counts: public calls for war against Poland, public support for a special military operation to denazify Ukraine, and propaganda of communist ideology. He now could face up to 5 years.
