Poland must immediately introduce an embargo on Ukrainian agricultural products, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on Facebook on February 25 (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation).
“The embargo on agricultural products from Ukraine is already a necessity!”he emphasized. “When the European Commission does not take measures for months, the government should introduce them unilaterally.”stated the former head of government.
Let us remember that in Poland the farmers’ protests have been going on for several weeks. They block roads, spill Ukrainian grain on the border and demand to ban the import of Ukrainian agricultural products and stop the implementation of the Green Course.
It should be noted that on Monday there will be a meeting of EU agriculture ministers in Brussels. Earlier in this meeting the head of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture promised to obtain compensation from the European Union for affected farmers.
