During an earlier telephone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised not to delay his trip to Turkey, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters.
“There will be no talk of such a visit in the foreseeable future. But he told me that he would not delay this trip.”Erdogan said about the promise Putin made to journalists in Ankara.
Erdogan also highlighted that Putin “with evident satisfaction.
“AND [Путин] He stated that he is glad that our relations continue to develop decisively.”added the Turkish president.
Recall that Putin and Erdogan had a telephone conversation on February 25. The Russian president warmly congratulated his Turkish colleague on his 70th birthday, the Kremlin’s press service reported.
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters that preparations are underway for contacts between the presidents of Russia and Turkey at the highest level. But no meeting of the leaders is planned before Russia’s March presidential elections.
