Teachers and non-teaching staff are holding a protest demonstration this Saturday in Lisbon, organized by the Union of All Education Workers (STOP), demanding better working conditions and wages, and against minimum service in schools.
This is the third march promoted by STOP since December, which calls for measures such as a €120 salary increase for all education workers, i.e. teachers and non-teaching staff.
STOP is also opposed to a proposal for a new teacher recruitment and placement model that is in negotiation with the wards and would require the restoration of more than six years of work hours frozen during the Troika, a claim shared by other industry alliances. .
