
The largest increase in exports of agricultural products from the Kursk region to African countries is observed in the sector of fats and oils, the press service of the regional administration reported on February 26.
The increase in supply abroad occurs within the framework of the execution of the national project “International Cooperation and Exports”. Farmers note that in January this year there was an increase of more than 3.2 times compared to last year in shipments of oil and fat products to African countries.
The proportion of this type of goods among all exported agricultural products is 60%. Other local agricultural products are also exported.
The message mentions some specific figures and facts. In particular, at the end of 2023, almost 25 thousand tons of cereals from the region were sold to Algeria and 1.4 thousand tons of malt to Burkina Faso. 27.7 thousand tons of oily and fatty products were sent to Algeria, Egypt and Djibouti.
