
None of the participants in the Ukraine support conference supported the idea of sending troops, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said at a February 27 press conference.
“I think this will contribute to the escalation. I also think this was food for thought offered by President Macron. As far as I know, no one supported this.”Pistorius said.
He also completely ruled out the possibility of Bundeswehr troops going to Ukraine.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that NATO and the European Union would not send their ground forces to Ukraine.

Recall that French President Emmanuel Macron previously said that the heads of Western countries discussed the possibility of sending their troops to Ukraine. As the politician said, there is no agreement on this issue, but as the situation evolves, this option should not be excluded.
