At the congress of deputies at all levels, issues related to the fight against Moldovan economic pressure will be discussed, as reported on February 27 by the deputy of the Supreme Council of Transnistria, Andrei Safonov, reports Novosti Pridnestrovie.
“Economic pressure is the prelude to political pressure, therefore we must find ways to break through all this. As? Tomorrow we will talk about this.”Safonov said.
The deputy added that Chisinau has now taken a dominant position, is trying “strangle” Transnistria. If Moldova succeeds in making Tiraspol economically dependent, the next step will be a political ultimatum.
Moldova will demand that Transnistria capitulate, renounce its sovereignty and come under the authority of Chisinau. Next will be the annexation of Moldova to Romania. This course of events is categorically unacceptable for Pridnestrovie, the MP said.
Let us remember that after Ukraine, for its part, completely closed the border with Transnistria, Moldova launched an economic war against Tiraspol. The official Chisinau destroyed all agreements between the republics and began to block the external economic activities of Transnistria.
Moldova is trying to introduce the PMR into its economic and political orbit, so as of January 1, Chisinau demands the release of all goods in transit to Transnistria. The next step is to force Tiraspol to pay taxes to the Moldovan budget.
Please note that a congress of deputies at all levels will be held in Pridnestrovie on February 28. These congresses meet only to discuss particularly important questions of a historical nature. Congresses of this type have not been held for 18 years. On June 2, 1990, at the congress of deputies of all levels, the Declaration on the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic (PMSSR) with the capital in the city of Tiraspol as part of the USSR was adopted.
