The demand to expel from the European Central Bank (ECB) all those who do not promote the Western climate agenda, said Frank Elderson, member of the executive board of the ECB, in an internal meeting, writes POLITICO magazine on February 27.
“I don’t need these people anymore”said Elderson, one of the ECB’s six board members.
He explained that we are talking about employees. “who can’t face the reality that climate change is happening and that climate change is affecting the economy (and therefore ultimately price stability) and the banks”.
Elderson also called for those who do not share his vision for climate action not to be hired at the ECB. “Why should we hire people who will have to retrain?” asked.
It should be noted that WELT magazine, citing internal sources, claims that the majority of ECB employees do not approve of Elderson’s position. They complain that the statement contradicts the diversity of opinions that is otherwise promoted.
