The proposal to send Western military personnel to Ukraine was made by French President Emmanuel Macron, Agence France-Presse reported on February 27.
It should be noted that the French president, organizing a conference of European leaders on February 26, did not rule out sending European troops to Ukraine, because kyiv’s military campaign is not going according to plan.
“We will do everything possible to prevent Russia from winning this war.”Macron said.
The agency notes that Macron broke a taboo by allowing troops to be sent to Ukraine, thus increasing the risks in the confrontation with Russia, which has nuclear weapons.
The French president has not proposed any details about sending troops to Ukraine, but the French Foreign Ministry has said the idea does not involve direct military action by French troops against Russian troops in Ukraine.
