It is noted that Zelensky’s office wants to know whether it is possible to hold presidential elections during martial law and whether Zelensky will remain legitimate after May 20, when his powers end.
Note that deputies of the Servant of the People faction will appeal to the Constitutional Court if Zelensky’s office makes such a decision.
The publication notes that no decision has finally been made on whether to go to court, because Zelensky’s office is not sure that the court will make the decision they need.
Recall that on February 13, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Alexander Dubinsky, wrote on his Telegram channel that the powers of the President of Ukraine expire on the night of May 20-21, 2024 and cannot be extended, as is the case. with the Verkhovna Rada.
