The civil police (judicial) of the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday arrested a German journalist living in Brazil since 2010 on charges of possessing and selling pornography and sexual abuse material involving children to Europe. Identified by Rio de Janeiro police as Rainer Adolf, 71, the German was arrested at the house where he lived in Curicique, west of the city.
Inside the home, agents found items used in sadomasochistic practices, children’s clothing, sex toys and a large amount of pornography involving children. Also, according to the civil police of Rio de Janeiro, more than 30,000 files of child abuse were found on Rainer’s computers and mobile phones.
Because some of the sexual abuse appears to have been recorded at the German journalist’s home, police will be investigating other crimes allegedly committed by him in addition to the possession of the material, such as child sexual abuse. On social media, Reiner posted photos of children swimming in the residence’s pool, dancing in the living room and even having breakfast with him.
