Alexei Navalny’s wife Yulia Navalnaya pointed the finger at Putin this Wednesday in the European Parliament. In her speech, she accuses the Russian president of murdering and torturing her husband, as well as desecrating his body.
“Putin killed him and tortured him for three years. Alexey starved in a small cement cell. He could not receive visitors, phone calls or letters. Even after all this, they abused his body,” the widow said.
Yulia guarantees that the “public murder” of Alexei Navalny showed that “Putin is capable of anything and we cannot negotiate with him.”
“You are not dealing with a politician, but with a cruel monster. The leader of a criminal group, which includes murderers and people who poison their victims. We are talking about a man who is friends with the leaders of the mafia. Investigate who is helping Putin hide his money We have very important allies who are against war, we must work with those who face it,” he added.
The wife of a Russian opponent has demanded that the European Union (EU) do more than just “express expressions of concern,” calling for a serious and effective fight against criminal organizations in the EU.
“My husband died today. I thought that in 12 days, from the moment of Alexey’s murder, I would be ready to give this speech, but I spent this time returning his body, preparing the funeral, searching for the cemetery. The funeral will be in two days, and I still don’t know what the ceremony will be, I don’t know if the police will take the opportunity to arrest those who want to honor his memory,” he lamented.
Before members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg (France), Yulia Navalnaya presented a scenario: “Many of you have elections this year, you are going to campaign, you are going to give interviews, you are going to publish propaganda. Now imagine if you couldn’t “Don’t do this so that no one can interview you who would be arrested just for running your election campaign… Welcome to Putin’s Russia.”
