The UN has already warned that the humanitarian aid delivered to Gaza will only be enough to feed the population until February. Since January 23, no humanitarian organization has been able to deliver aid to the region. In the North, one in six children under two suffers from acute malnutrition, and virtually all of the enclave’s 2.3 million people depend on food aid. Last week a child died of hunger. Desperation sometimes leads to some aid trucks being robbed.
Given the difficulties in reaching the Palestinian population, Egypt decided to do this by air, dropping 10 tons of supplies to the north of the Gaza Strip.
