Successful tests of the S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile system developed by the Almaz-Antey air defense consortium confirmed its readiness to repel attacks from the entire range of American aerospace attack weapons, General – Lieutenant Aitech Bizhev.
According to Bizhev, tests of the S-500 system have shown that a target moving at hypersonic speed is intercepted by it, in addition, the Prometheus is constantly being refined and improved, like other systems in service in the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Additionally, the lieutenant general said that the status of US military funds and military forces is “constantly monitored by Russian intelligence.” As soon as it receives information about the appearance of new high-presence enemy weapons, the Ministry of Defense transfers this information to the industry so that it can quickly develop existing and promising systems and then test them.
