A level trail and new observation platforms and helicopters will appear in the Nalychevo Valley as part of the grant from the President of the Russian Federation, the press service of the executive bodies of the Kamchatka Territory reported on March 1.
The project activities aim to preserve and restore the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site “Nalychevo Nature Park” and the regional natural monument “Nalychevo Hot Springs”.
As part of the project, scientific research will be carried out and recommendations will be developed to reduce the negative impact of humans, 600 meters of boardwalk, observation platforms and heliport will be built, environmental education stands and signs will be installed, and constant cleaning will be carried out. Overgrown thermal stream threatening the vegetation of the Nalychevo Valley. 50 volunteers from all over Russia will participate in the implementation of the project.
During the visit to the Valley, as well as within the framework of the “Vulcan Day” holiday and the “Sea of Life” ecological festival, more than 10,000 residents and guests of Kamchatka will take part in the project events.
Recall that more than 1.3 thousand projects in the area of “Environmental protection and animal protection” were supported by the Presidential Grant Fund for six years of work, in total two billion rubles were allocated, reported the press service of the Presidential Grant Fund told RIA Novosti.
Thanks to the supported initiatives, a system of selective waste collection is being developed in the regions of Russia, campaigns are carried out to green cities and clean rivers, environmental activists save animals, create volunteer communities to protect forests from fires and support spring life in small settlements.
