At the same time, Allamjonov clarified that the Kaplanbek checkpoint is mainly intended for the transportation of goods, but it will also be able to serve individuals.
Allamjonov also said that the Uzbek side will complete the repair of the Gishtkuprik checkpoint in August this year. The Gishtkuprik checkpoint is combined with the Kazakh Zhibekzholy checkpoint, which will be restored in 2025.
Up to 30,000 passengers and 1,000 cars can now pass through the Gishtkuprik checkpoint per day. After the reconstruction of the checkpoint, 50,000 people and about 3,000 cars will pass through it per day. In addition, 12 cars and 9 buses will be able to pass through customs control at the Gishtkuprik checkpoint simultaneously, Allamjonov clarified.
