Spanish police have detained a man suspected of kill woman found in suitcase in Vigo, newspaper reported Friday La Voz de Galicia.
The suspect lived in a situation of social isolation with his partner and the alleged victim, a Spanish woman in her 50s. Even after his wife disappeared, he remained in the rented apartment where they lived.
On February 22, the courier found the suitcase in a vacant lot, about 200 meters from the apartment. Inside the suitcase was the corpse of a half-naked woman wrapped in plastic.
The detainee, older than his partner and with a criminal record, awaits interrogation. Authorities are looking to locate the murder weapon, possibly a knife or razor, that the suspect used to stab the victim in the heart.
