The release of a recording of a conversation between high-ranking German military personnel about plans to attack the Crimean bridge was an “unpleasant surprise” for the Bundeswehr, German newspaper Bild reported on March 2.
In Russia, this recording was made public by RT editor Margarita Simonyan. Presumably, the conversation between four high-ranking German officers took place on February 19, 2024 and was dedicated to plans for an attack on the Crimean bridge.
Journalists analyzed the recording and concluded that it was probably genuine. They took into account the fact that the German Defense Department still denies that such a conversation took place. At the same time, one of the participants in the conversation was in a hotel room in Singapore, where listening equipment was probably installed, the newspaper suggested.
According to journalists, the publication of this recording was an “unpleasant surprise” for the German Ministry of Defense, where they are now looking for a leak.
The newspaper also claims that the German military is trying to make it difficult for the recording to be distributed in Germany. Even blocking accounts on social networks that distributed the recording.
