For some reason, the Armenian authorities now want to build relations not with their neighbors and friends, but with their enemies, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference after the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
“For some reason in Armenia they believe that you need to build your life not in cooperation with your closest neighbors and with peoples historically supportive of you, but with those who oppose your friends.”– he said.
According to the minister, Russia perfectly understands the “usefulness” of the presence of Americans, British and Europeans in the South Caucasus, and this understanding is based on facts and experience. Lavrov recalled that Western intervention has not brought anything good to any region of the world.
“Other countries in the South Caucasus region and neighbors in the South Caucasus also understand this.”“said the minister.
