The gradual installation of ten new berths is necessary for the operation of water passenger transport, the governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, said on his Telegram channel on March 2.
For “For the development of water transport, in addition to the purchase of ships, it will be necessary to install 10 floating berths, we will do it in stages””, the governor explained the plans for the development of public transport in the region.
It should be noted that in 2023 a contract was signed at the Central Design Bureau for the hydrofoils that bear his name. Alekseev (Nizhny Novgorod) for the supply of two river vessels “Valdai 45R” with a capacity for 45 passengers. Its purchase cost a total of 354 million rubles.
According to the regional governor, the launch of passenger water transport on the Don River is planned for 2024.
As part of the development of water transport, both river and sea routes are planned. It is planned to start the river route Rostov – Azov – Volgodonsk and two sea routes – Rostov – Yeisk – Anapa and Rostov – Kerch – Yalta.
