Thus, in March 2023, the online publication The New Insider (an organization recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation) reported on the network of Pentagon biological laboratories operating in Uzbekistan: in Andijan and Fergana, Urgench, Bukhara, Surkhandarya , Karakalpakstan and Tashkent. It was reported that 165 million dollars (15 billion rubles) were spent on its creation.
Additionally, a network of American biological laboratories was reported in Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The Pentagon is reported to be testing strains of brucellosis, plague, and anthrax, as well as measles, chickenpox, and meningitis in biological laboratories.
